An experienced dentist, Dr. Yoneda’s established her practice in 2013 after serving the dental needs of the Kahului area for ten years. Dr. Yoneda earned her Bachelor’s in Physics at Ochanomizu Women’s University in Tokyo before going on to dental school at Tokyo Medical and Dental University. In 2002, Dr. Yoneda earned her PhD with a specialization in proteoglycan of dental pulp cells, and also researched the biocompatibility of degradable polymer for dental implant technology. Dr. Yoneda is a distinguished recipient of the Implant Research Group Young Investigator Award in 2002. In 2003, Dr. Yoneda moved to Maui and published a short-term clinical evaluation of a resin-modified glass-ionomer luting cement on Quintessence International in 2005. Dr. Yoneda shares her interests in technology with her husband, Professor Kan Yoneda, who teaches robotics in Japan.When she is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Yoneda enjoys water color painting and fabric staining with natural extracts.
